How does Ink-Hound work?
Ink Hound hosts an online community of artists and unique apparel seekers. Artists submit hat and shirt designs and the community rates them. This feedback is crucial when choosing the winning designs to be sold on the site. Ink-Hound then sells only one limited edition hat and shirt at a time for roughly a week. After the limited edition sale, the design will no longer be available on our site and the artist regains all rights to the artwork. We will also pay the artist $2 per item sold.
How do you select the winner?
We will use the average rating, quantity of positive votes, and comments to help choose the winning
designs.Designs must be in the active voting section for 1 week and are eligible for 90 days.
When are winners announced?
Around Midnight Eastern Time.
How many designs will be sold per week?
We plan to put up one hat and one shirt design per week. After the limited edition sale they are gone and all rights are returned to the artists.

We offer a range of styles each week. This includes:

What style of hat do you offer?
The hat style has been custom designed by the Ink-Hound team. The majority of the hats printed will be on a fitted style hat that will be shipped with a flat bill. The material that we use is flexible and we offer two fitted sizes that accommodate all head sizes (S/M 6 3/4" - 7 1/4"?&L/XL 7 1/8" - 7 5/8"). At times the artist will specify a trucker style cap and they will be printed on a Ink-Hound designed one size fits all mesh back hat. Please see the previous winners section for examples.
Submitting Designs
What are the design submission requirements?
In general, shirt designs need to be 15" x 17" and use a maximum of 6 spot colors. Hats can use 4 color screen-printing and embroidery options over the full hat (front, back, and bill). What kind of design is Ink-Hound looking for?
The artist has the freedom to design anything under the sun as long as it's their original artwork, never has been published, and does not contain profanity, trademarks, logos and copyrighted works, or intellectual property of any 3rd parties. We don't limit the use of text in the design but it should not be the primary element.
How many days is each submitted design open for voting?
Over a period of 90 days, the Ink-Hound community will score and comment on design submissions. These scores and comments will help us decide which designs will be. After 90 days the design will move to the archive section and will no longer be open for voting.
Designs that do not get enough votes or have a very low average score may be moved to the "Design Archives" early.
What happens when I submit a design?
All designs submitted are previewed by the staff at Ink-Hound. We need to make sure that the design meets the few submission requirements and then the art is posted for open voting.
How many designs can I submit?
There is no limit as to how many designs you can submit. This only increases your chances of winning!
How much is the artist commission if my design wins?
$2 per each item sold with NO CAP!
How do I know how much commission I earned on my winning design?
Your profile page will show your total commission.
What happens to the winning design after the sale?
After the limited edition sale the all rights stay with the designer!
Did you say that I keep ownership of my design if it is selected for sale?
YES! After the voting and sale period, the art is yours!
Can I use someone else's work and submit it for voting?
No! Ink-Hound does not tolerate plagiarism. If you use somebody's work and we end up printingit, Ink-Hound will not be liable for copyright infringement. The Artist will be held responsible for all artwork they submit to Ink-Hound. We will make all attempts to identify plagiarism prior to accepting artwork butif you feel that an Artist violates someone else's work please notify us at legal@ink-hound.com. Please read Artist Terms carefully.
Can I promote my design?
Yes, Yes and more Yes! Promote as much as you can. Remember that we consider the number of votes and score that your art receives. If you win you will get a commission of $2 that has no cap. The more that sell the more cash you get. Feel free to post your design link on facebook, twitter, MySpace or other public forums.
When will I get paid the commission?
We will send payments to our Featured Artists within 14 days of the last sale date.

How secure is your checkout?
We use SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption for all credit card information and we do not store the credit card information anywhere after checkout. Your credit card information is secure and safe!

What is your return policy?
If you need to return an item please contact customerservice@ink-hound.com for the next steps. Please include your order number in the subject line of the email. Returned items must be unworn and should not have been washed. They also need to be less then 30 days old (it was born on the date of purchase). Given that we will be selling limited edition items, we may not be able to offer exchanges. We will likely issue a certificate for a future purchase of equal value.
Shipping
When can I expect my order to arrive?
Orders are usually shipped within 3 days of placing your order. Transit time in the US will take another 3-6 business days. International orders can take anywhere between 1-3 weeks so please be patient
How do you ship and what are the costs?
For orders within the U.S,Shipping is $4 for your first item and $2 for each additional item. All international orders are $8 and $3 for each additional item. All orders are shipped by UPS Mail Innovations. Using this method, UPS delivers to your local post office and you receive your package in your daily mail delivery.You will receive an e-mail confirmation when the order is shipped. This e-mail will give you the tracking number of your shipment.
Do you ship to my country and will there be custom or duty charges?
We ship to 231 countries!! Please see if your country is included on this drop down list. If not, send us an e-mail and we will see if we can add your country. Each country has their own Customs policy and there may be potential charges. If your country does charge duty, you will be responsible for this nominal charge at your local post office.
